Google has just released a new quality-of-life update to Search Console, allowing you to add custom annotations to specific data points in the Performance chart. With annotations, you can take notes directly on your charts and make your reports look more professional for viewers.
Annotations do exist in GA4, but they are created only by Google when there’s an anomaly—such as a spike or sudden drop in traffic. Google is currently seeking feedback on this new feature. You can read more about it in the official documentation.
